Aims of the society?

Notes to committee:

  • The site has been posted on a temporary address pending acceptance by the committee. The permanent address will be reserved via a hosting company called DC Hosting when the committee is happy with the site outline.
  • As with any web site, the most important thing is to keep it up to date. The best way to do this is to incorporate web site updates into the normal routine of the society. You already publish a newletter, and the same information can go on the web site. There should be no need to create ‘new’ information just for the web site, although if people have any ideas they can certainly be considered.
  • I am happy to update the site on receipt of softcopy information. I would rather not transcribe printed material. If you are producing information for the society then the best thing would be to get into the habit of sending me final copies in MS Word, Lotus WordPro, or plain text format.
  • I have suggested on the various pages who should be providing updates.
